WORK EXPERIENCE
Technical Project Manager | Failure Review Board (FRB), CRRC MA CORPORATION | MBTA Project Management Office Responded Project: New Boston Orange & Red Line Vehicle Project · As a Project Manager, I led the execution of critical on-site project developments, after-sales services, and operational troubleshooting initiatives, securing the safety and reliability of rail transit vehicles. · From June 2023, under my leadership, the team resolved 324 vehicle failure issue. By implementing thorough diagnostic and performance optimization strategies, we drastically cut the average resolution time from 86 days to just 2.5 days. A key achievement during this period was establishing CRRC MA’s inaugural cross-functional Fault Review Committee, substantially boosting operational efficiency and system reliability. · Leveraged engineering expertise to conduct thorough failure analyses, executing in-depth engineering assessments of equipment malfunctions. · Led a multi-disciplinary team of 30, comprising staff from CRRC MA, the Boston Transit Authority (MBTA), and external vendors. My role also involved leveraging technical knowledge and communication skills to navigate through complex engineering challenges. · Orchestrated comprehensive data gathering and incident documentation, ensuring rigorous maintenance of engineering investigation records. · Implemented project management and optimization strategies across 10 high-value projects, achieving completion 25% ahead of schedule while upholding a flawless safety record. · Developed an innovative fault data collection workflow, enhancing fault prediction accuracy and doubling response efficiency, which enabled swift decision-making. · Initiated regular technical seminars aimed at elevating team skills and fostering a culture of innovation. · Directed the formulation of strict vehicle delivery protocols and fault reliability standards, ensuring every project vehicle passed rigorous assessments and tests. · Guided the implementation of engineering solutions to rectify issues, formulated proactive maintenance and monitoring plans, and stayed abreast of updates in rail stock safety regulations and standards. · Mechanical Engineer II / Design, Dexai Robotics Lead design engineer, develop hardware systems to deliver the “Alfred” chef robot. · Designed and transferred current R&D products to successful commercial products. · Conduct first principles analysis including FEA, static and dynamic force calculations, thermal analysis and heat management of the new product. · Lead design, prototyping, testing and integration of next-generation product developments and current product improvement. Research new technical solutions, build up prototypes and verified related testing. · Designed and improved robot arm end-effector reliability, 2 DOF container passer arm reliability increased by at least 200% and 99% success rate container bowl dropping system. And Robot assembly time decreased by double. · Lead design review and audit engineering design changes, PDR and FDR. · Experience in the design and specification of actuators, servo motors, load cells, and multiple sensors (such as light sensors, temperature sensors…etc). · Developed and generate work instructions, checklist, and quality assurance for subsystems. · Solved multiple technical challenges/problems to make the robot system faster and more robust. for example, lifetime of tool change actuators and lighting LEDs. More example like arm joints jitter issues and robot arm joints offset problems. · Created detailed hardware debug system/procedure to allows for quickly identifying and correcting issues. · Developed the “Alfred” unified robotics description format (URDF) model for AI model training and robot manipulation simulation.
