About Me

About Me

I’m Jiahao Wu, a Mechanical Engineer with a Master’s degree from Columbia University, where I delved into robotics and control systems. My journey in engineering began at the Stevens Institute of Technology, where I graduated with high honors in May 2018. My professional path has been diverse, encompassing system design and project management across both the rail stock industry and robotics. At Dexai Robotics, I led the team that brought the “Alfred” chef robot from concept to commercial reality, focusing on enhancing its reliability and effectiveness in real-world kitchens. This role not only honed my technical skills but also deepened my passion for robotics and automation. In addition to my work, I have contributed to the academic community through a paper published in IEEE, reflecting my ongoing commitment to advancing the field of robotics. Currently, I’m the Technical Project Manager at CRRC MA Corporation, where I oversee projects aimed at improving the safety and efficiency of rail transit vehicles. Here, I apply a blend of engineering expertise and leadership to tackle challenging projects that have substantial impacts on daily commuting for thousands of passengers.

2023-Present

CRRC MA
Technical Project Manager

As a Technical Project Manager at CRRC MA Corporation, I have been instrumental in advancing the efficiency and reliability of rail transit vehicles for the Boston Orange & Red Line Vehicle Project. My leadership has led to significant improvements in project execution and after-sales service. I managed the resolution of over 324 vehicle failures, drastically reducing the resolution time from an average of 86 days to just 2.5 days. I also established CRRC MA’s first cross-functional Fault Review Committee, which has substantially enhanced system reliability and operational efficiency. My role involves comprehensive management of high-value projects, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring all project vehicles meet rigorous assessment and reliability standards.
